Apartments Near Palm Beach Lakes | Shoe Drive For The Needy

(West Palm Beach, FL) Our Apartments Near Palm Beach Outlets Mall facility is dedicated to fighting the devastating impact and perpetuation of poverty. The organization advances its anti-poverty mission by collecting new and used shoes and clothes from individuals, schools, faith-based institutions, civic organizations and corporate partners, then distributing those shoes and clothes both via direct donations to people in need and by provisioning qualified micro-enterprise programs designed to create jobs in poor and disadvantaged communities. We have a centralized focus areas within India, South America, and Africa. We accept shoes of all sizes and condition as we look to serve our fellow man who does not have the advantages that some of us share in this society.

One of the focuses in our global efforts centers on orphanages throughout Central and South America, including Haiti, Costa Rica, Honduras, and Guatemala, and Tanzania, in Africa. These abandoned and orphaned children cherish a pair of shoes more than something to eat or even a new toy. In many countries, a pair of shoes is part of the required school uniform in order to attend school and receive a necessary education, the basis for escaping the grasp of poverty. It is estimated that 1 billion children live in poverty without access to basic necessities like shoes and running water. Help us change that number with your support.

Imagine being without life’s basic necessities – food, clothing, and shelter. It happens in our own backyard. Many shelters across the U.S. do an excellent job providing temporary shelter and hot meals. However, one of their greatest challenges is providing quality footwear to those that walk the streets 365 days a year.

From Lynch, Kentucky to Bluefield, West Virginia the need for basic items is staggering. The request for new and gently worn footwear is always in high demand. This is one region where we consistently see children that do not have one adequate pair of shoes for school. Shoes are designated for this region approximately once per quarter. Women Domestic Abuse Shelters across the U.S. These women (and their children) usually begin to rebuild their lives from nothing. Low heel shoes in black, brown, and navy are wonderful as it provides these women conservative footwear needed during their job search.

We here at Bella Lago Vista recognize the struggle not only here in America but, across the world and if we as a community can come together to help just a few we believe we can change the lives of many. Believe with us and visit us today @ http://BellaLagoVista.net/
